Povidone Iodine is a antiseptic and disinfrctant mainly used to treat common skin infections. It is used to treat and prevent skin infections in minor burns, lacerations, cuts and abrations.
Povidone Iodine works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing microbes by penetrating and oxidising their essential proteins, nucleotides and fatty acids which leading towards the cell death.
Povidone Iodine is for external use only and should be used as instructed on the label.
